Class & Chaos - new name, new blog!

Hello readers,

After being on a hiatus for more than a year, I have decided to start blogging again!

The former name of the blog - eccentric feel - never really fitted the concept of the blog and didn't feel right, so I decided to change the name to Class & Chaos - class coming from the adjective classy and chaos, well, chaotic. The people who know me personally should know that the latter describes my life very well, and at least personally I think of myself as a classy person. Well, at least the way I dress is classy, if nothing else..

The layout of the blog is what it is, I may change it later but it will have to do for the moment.

This time round I've decided to blog about more general things and not so much about my personal life such as relationships and other shizzle. I will try to keep things professional and not ramble so much in my blog. This blog will still remain a lifestyle blog, but this time it will be enriched with tips and tricks that I've acquired throughout my life on topics such as cosmetics, health, nutrition and travel.

In case any of you has been wondering what I have done within the past TWO years, i.e. since I blogged for the last time then, well, a LOT. Among these things, THIS school year I graduated from school, got accepted into King's College London but was then rejected only to be accepted again. Makes sense? To me neither. Anyway, being on a forced gap year I travelled Europe and the States, worked in Finland and Belgium, where I lived homeless for 3 months and just returned to live in Finland again. I dropped my phone into the toilet, twice, lost a friend and faced rejection multiple times, but was also blessed to have some amazing people beside me during my unlucky endeavours.

This year has had a lot of ups and downs, but it has definitely taught me a lot about friendhip, independant living and growth. It has made me realize that I can't control the turnout of events, but I can control the way I react to them and the amount of energy I invest in them. Even though I did not choose this path (of a gap year or losing a friend), it must have happened for a reason. I try to welcome challenges, although it is frustrating not to have things go your way for what seems like forever. Ultimately you just have to acquire a positive mindset to be happy, and be in the perfect place for you. If you don't like something, change it. Move country, change your job, start a new hobby, whatever. As long as you stay focused on your goals and act upon your negative feelings, things will get better.

Right now I'm residing in Finland, but I might move location before starting my studies in London in September. I have been promissed a job as a waitress, and I am doing some casual promotional gigs every now and then. I have been in Helsinki for two weeks, and I am going to see what it's like and analyze other markets abroad. If I'm not happy here, I will go back to Abercrombie & Fitch (where I worked before moving here), or to the French riviera, if I get a job there.

Now even the people who don't know me personally should know why I named this blog class and chaos...

Anyhow, I am looking forward to start blogging again and sharing inspirational bits and pieces among with describing my everyday life.

I hope you will enjoy the blog!

Love,

Maria xx
